Choose the Bung Style

• Step round bungs: Compare the specified tube outside diameter and wall thickness, along with the bung's insertion dimensions.
• Square tapered bungs: Check the square base dimensions, thread and overall length against your fabrication requirements.
• Square pinch bungs: Selected right-hand threaded options have one- or two-bolt pinch designs. Check the individual listing for dimensions and configuration.
• Threaded mounting bungs: The range also includes a 10 mm threaded bung for mounting applications. Confirm the thread pitch and dimensions before selecting mating hardware.

Check Thread & Tube Compatibility

Match the thread diameter, pitch and direction to the mating rod end or fastener. For tube bungs, check tube outside diameter, wall thickness and internal clearance rather than selecting by thread size alone. Several round bung listings specify that the bore is not threaded all the way through, so check the available thread depth and engagement requirements.

For suspension, steering or other load-bearing assemblies, have the component selection, welding procedure and finished assembly assessed by a suitably qualified fabricator or engineer. A matching thread or tube size alone does not establish suitability for the application.
