Premium Suspension Components - Uniball Bearings, Rod Ends & Bushings

Upgrade your vehicle's suspension with precision-engineered components designed for Australian race cars, off-road vehicles, and performance builds. From uniball bearings and spherical rod ends to Nolathane bushings and limiting straps, we stock everything you need for improved handling, control, and durability in demanding applications.

Uniball Bearings & Spherical Rod Ends

  • Uniball Bearings: High-load spherical bearings for suspension arms, control arms, and linkages with superior articulation and strength
  • Spherical Rod Ends: Precision-machined rod ends with spherical bearings for suspension links, steering, and adjustable components
  • PTFE Coated Uniballs: Self-lubricating PTFE-lined bearings for reduced friction, smoother operation, and extended service life
  • Uniball Housings: Weld-in and bolt-in housings for custom suspension fabrication and repairs

Suspension Bushings

  • Nolathane Bushings: Polyurethane suspension bushings for improved handling, reduced deflection, and longer life than rubber bushings
  • Control Arm Bushings: Front and rear control arm bushings in various durometers for street and race applications
  • Sway Bar Bushings: Anti-roll bar bushings and mounts for reduced body roll
  • Differential Bushings: Diff mount bushings to eliminate wheel hop and improve traction

Limiting Straps & Travel Control

  • Limiting Straps: Adjustable suspension travel limiters to prevent over-extension and component damage in off-road and race applications
  • Limit Strap Clevis: Clevis ends and mounting hardware for limiting strap installation
  • Bump Stops: Polyurethane and rubber bump stops to control suspension compression

Why Upgrade Suspension Components?

Factory suspension components use rubber bushings and basic bearings designed for comfort and cost, not performance. Uniball bearings eliminate deflection and provide precise suspension geometry for improved handling and cornering. PTFE-coated uniballs reduce friction and wear for smoother operation and extended life. Nolathane polyurethane bushings are firmer than rubber, reducing flex and improving steering response while still providing vibration dampening. Limiting straps prevent suspension over-extension that damages shocks, CV joints, and brake lines in off-road and race applications.

Suspension Component Selection Guide

Uniball vs Rubber Bushings: Uniballs provide zero deflection and precise geometry—ideal for race cars and performance handling. Rubber bushings absorb vibration and provide comfort—better for street cars. Polyurethane bushings (Nolathane) offer a compromise with improved handling and acceptable comfort for street/track use.

PTFE Coating Benefits: PTFE (Teflon) coating on uniballs provides self-lubrication, reducing friction and wear. Extends bearing life 2-3x compared to standard uniballs. Essential for applications where regular greasing is difficult or impossible.

Limiting Strap Length: Measure maximum safe suspension droop (full extension without damaging components). Set limiting strap length to stop travel 10-20mm before maximum extension. Prevents shock damage, CV joint separation, and brake line stretching.

Common Suspension Applications

  • Race car suspension with uniball control arms
  • Off-road and 4WD vehicles with extended travel suspension
  • Trophy trucks and desert racing with limiting straps
  • Circuit racing with polyurethane bushing upgrades
  • Custom suspension fabrication and geometry correction
  • Drift cars requiring precise suspension control
  • Street performance builds with Nolathane bushings

Installation & Maintenance Tips

Uniball Installation: Press uniballs into housings with proper press and support tooling. Ensure bearing is fully seated and aligned. Torque mounting bolts to specification. Check for binding through full range of motion before final assembly.

PTFE Uniball Care: PTFE-coated bearings are self-lubricating and should not be greased. Grease can attract dirt and cause premature wear. Inspect periodically for play or damage. Replace if excessive movement is detected.

Nolathane Bushing Installation: Clean all mounting surfaces. Apply supplied grease to bushing surfaces before installation. Tighten mounting bolts with suspension at ride height to prevent bushing bind. Allow 500km break-in period for bushings to settle.

Limiting Strap Adjustment: Set limiting straps with vehicle on ground at ride height. Measure droop travel and adjust strap length to limit extension. Test suspension travel before driving. Re-check strap length after first few drives and adjust as needed.

Performance Benefits

  • Precise suspension geometry for improved handling and cornering
  • Reduced deflection and flex for better steering response
  • Extended component life with PTFE-coated bearings
  • Improved traction and reduced wheel hop with polyurethane bushings
  • Protection from suspension damage with limiting straps
  • Smoother operation and reduced friction
  • Race-proven reliability in demanding conditions
