Choosing an alternator bracket

• Match the bracket's specified engine application and driver-side or passenger-side mounting position.
• Check whether the bracket uses a low, mid or top mounting position and confirm clearance around the chassis, steering, exhaust and other accessories.
• For applications specifying a short or long water pump, match the installed pump configuration and pulley offset.
• Confirm alternator mounting dimensions, belt type and pulley alignment with the rest of the accessory drive.
• Check the individual listing for finish, supplied hardware and any additional components required.

For LS conversions, verify the actual engine, accessory spacing and belt arrangement rather than relying on the donor vehicle name. Follow the manufacturer's installation and fastener torque instructions.
