Listed sizes and styles

• Aluminium hex-body bungs: -6, -8, -10, -12 and -16 AN, with the -DH suffix.

• 999-04-S: listed as a -4 AN steel bung, but its current description contains conflicting aluminium wording. Contact us to confirm its material before ordering or welding.

Choosing a weld bung

Match the male AN flare connection to the corresponding female AN flare fitting or hose end. For an AN flare connection, the mating flare seats provide the seal, not the threads.

Check the bore, weld base, overall dimensions and body style. Allow clearance for welding, fitting installation and hose routing. Material options are not interchangeable for welding: confirm the bung material and compatibility with the component it will be welded to.

Fabrication and installation

Confirm suitability for the intended fluid, working pressure and temperature across the completed assembly. Follow the manufacturer's guidance and have welding carried out by a suitably qualified fabricator. Preparation, welding process and filler selection must suit the materials and application. Inspect and test the completed assembly before use.
