Nylon 24 Inch Long Black Four Layer Suspension Limiting Strap With 4130 Heat Treated Chromoly Ends
24" Limiting strap length is measured from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole. The bolt holes are 9/16" in diameter. The strap's webbing material is rated between 14,000 to 15,000 pounds. The 4130 chromoly ends are rated to 15,000 pounds.

Limiting straps are ideal for any off road application since they are vital in preventing damage to your suspension and drive train components. Without limiting straps, your shocks act as stops at maximum droop which can cause damage from your vehicle's unsprung weight. Limiting straps also prevent damage to your CV's by limiting the amount of maximum angle on your axles. The limit straps we carry are four-ply so only 1" of stretch is allowed for every 12" of strap. Chromoly Chrome-Moly Chrome Moly

How to mount the bottom of the limiting straps

If you're going to use an adjustable clevis then you'll need to compensate for the extra length of the clevis. See clevis diagram. An adjustable clevis allows you to fine tune your suspension and it also allows you to shorten the distance as the strap stretches over time.

You want to make sure that you double shear the bottom of the limiting strap mount for extra strength. Ideally, you would use a grade 9 bolt such as f911. The tab on the limiting strap and the tab that you weld to the chassis should always be lined up in the direction the limiting strap is going to pull. You never want to mount the tab "flat" to a surface because it will bend and eventually fail.
