It can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C due to its cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. This means that it can endure the extreme conditions that are needed for applications such as those involving battery grounds or automotive starters following the SAE J-1127 standards for low voltage battery cable in electrical systems. SGX-1/0 is composed of a 1026/0.010 stranded bare copper conductor that can consistently handle 50 volts.
